Thank you to the City of La Habra for approving our grant request. Federal monies were made available to cities to distribute to local non profits who either lost revenue during the Covid-19 pandemic or incurred expenses due to the pandemic.  During the pandemic our growth made it necessary to move out of our small quarters at the community center. We were able to move into a much larger VCC:Gary Center facility. Our move made it necessary to purchase a large commercial refrigerator and commercial freezer. We also incurred costs for office equipment, tables, chairs, and computers as well as hiring another part time employee. Our new location has been a blessing as we now have access to the food pantry run by the La Habra Collaborative, as well as toiletries and other essential  products that we are able to provide to our clients at no charge.

Thanks to the city council, city manager and especially to Kelly Fujio who worked so hard to make this all happen.
